Proteus is a true scientific-grade instrument if you are looking to take weather tracking and observing to the next level. It is our highest quality, temperature compensated, aneroid barometer. Temperature compensated and accurate to within ±0.08 inches of mercury. Displays in inches of mercury from 27.5" to 31.5" and in the equivalent kilopascals (93.2-106.7). Can be adjusted to any elevation up to 8000' . Proteus is equipped with a resettable needle pointer used to mark changes in pressure. A cutaway dial window reveals an heirloom-quality French barometer movement. -
Rainwatch displays either long or short term rainfall with the flip of a switch. Select the length of time for each 'counter' with the reset switch. Collect annual rainfall in one memory, and weekly or daily rainfall in the other. 4-digit LED panel displays rainfall from 00.01" to 99.99" with an inch/cm conversion chart. A single 9V battery (included) will collect and maintain data for up to 1 week in case of power failure. Outside rainfall collector meets NWS specifications for size and accuracy, and is self-emptying for your convenience. Rainwatch is also compatible with most other rainfall collectors. The collector bucket can remain outdoors year-round. Freezing weather will not damage the collector, but readings of snow or freezing rain are not to be considered accurate readings of rainfall. Peak gives speed and direction of highest gust since last reset. Average reveals average wind speed and direction since last reset. Forecast compares most recent 12-minute average with previous 12 minutes.
