In addition to our full line of classic, traditional weather instruments, Maximum also offers several models that are Wi-Fi compatible. (Measuring wind speed and direction, temperature & humidity as well as rain fall.) The chief benefits of choosing Wi-Fi instruments include having no need to run wires through the walls of your home, the ability to add instruments to your array, and the ability to access real time weather information at your home from anywhere in the world over the internet. Wi-Fi instruments do require the purchase of additional equipment including Wi-Fi sensor(s) and Instrument Interface(s). Choose Your Wi-Fi Compatible Instruments

Going Wi-Fi is easy. Start by browsing the Wi-Fi compatible instruments section on this website to choose the functions and models you prefer, select the face and dial color and other specs to suit your design sensibilities. Add them to your cart and then proceed to order the number of Wi-Fi sensor and Instrument Interfaces you require (as described below).

Purchase Wi-Fi Wi-Fi Sensor and Instrument Interfaces

Each Wi-Fi instrument arrangement will require both a Wi-Fi Sensor Interface (placed near where the outside sensors are located) and an Instrument Interface (placed near where your instruments will be displayed inside your home). Maximum offers a Wi-Fi set-up kit that has everything you to set up from 1 to 4 wifi instruments in a single location. If you would like to add more Wi-Fi instruments in a different room, simply purchase an additional Wi-Fi Instrument Interface for each additional location.

Choose Your Accessories

Next, you will choose your accessories. Maximum offers high quality wooden mounting panels for displaying 3 to 6 instruments. These accessories add to the visual appeal of these fine instruments inside your home. There is a variety of panel options and all come in your choice of oak or mahogany.

Install and Enjoy Your Maximum Weather Instruments

Once your Wi-Fi compatible instruments arrive, all that’s left is to install the sensors, interfaces and instruments, connect them to your Wi-Fi network and the Weather Underground App (Optional but highly recommended) and enjoy! How Does Our Wi-Fi Weather Station System Work?

  1. Wind Speed and Direction – Typically attached to the roof of your home, a wind sensor will be able to inform you of the speed and direction of the wind just outside.
  2. Temperature and Humidity – We usually place temperature and humidity sensors on the north side of your home in a shaded or sheltered area for the most accurate readings.
  3. Rainfall – Of course, a rainfall instrument will be placed outside. Most often through a collector bucket, you will be able to measure exactly how much rain you’ve received.
  4. WiFi Sensor Interface – Place your WiFi sensor interface in whatever discrete location works best for your home, as long as you and your family have easy access.
  5. WiFi Instrument Interface – You should also be mindful of where you place the WiFi weather instrument interface, as you will need to be able to have easy access to this component in addition to your sensor.
  6. Weather Station – Display your classic weather station in the center of your home for an elegant touch. With our WiFi weather stations, you will never lose the special, classic feel of a traditional instrument.
  7. Desktop and Mobile Devices – With your own devices, through Weather Underground, you can access all of your instrument weather readings wherever you are in your home!
