Want to know exactly how much rain you actually get?
The Rainwatch is a digital rain collector that has two separate memory functions. With the flip of a switch, Rainwatch will display either long- or short-term rainfall.
You choose how to use each memory. Perhaps you let one go all year and reset the other weekly, monthly or by the storm. It’s that flexible!
What Does a Rainfall Weather Instrument Do?
A rainfall weather instrument is able to measure the rain during a set period of time. Typically, this measurement is taken in millimeters (mm). These instruments have a wide range of applications, from personal use to agricultural purposes.
Usually, rainfall instruments fall into two categories: analog or digital. Analog rain instruments are very simple devices that collect rain during a storm. These are located outside of the home or building and can collect up to about 5 inches of rain at a time. To take the most accurate measurement, users must periodically empty analog instruments for the duration of the rainfall.
With digital rainfall instruments, like the Maximum Rainwatch, the rain is collected and the data is wirelessly transmitted to the instrument that is placed indoors. These digital instruments are quite easy to use and can even double as decor, adding elegance to your home. Why a Maximum Rainwatch?
Rainfall is a centralized weather event. You can be on a band of precipitation during a rain storm and see significant rainfall. Meanwhile, your best friend, a mile down the road sees nothing but a sprinkle. A Maximum Rainwatch can aid in the efforts of water conservation, keeping you informed on just how much Mother Nature has helped with your watering efforts
